E is one of those girls that you see walking down the street that makes you do a double take because you dig her style.

Equal parts sweet and tough, she mixes vintage with high and low end like a champion.

Although her style is fierce, don't be intimated by this extra nice, witty girl.

She has wicked taste in art, music, and fashion.

I asked E 3 questions about Washington D.C.
*If you must recommend one restaurant, which one would it be and why?
Only one??? This is so hard, because there's such a wonderful variety of local institutions, out of the way places, and sophisticated cuisine. One of my favorite meals has been at Obelisk, which has fabulously refined Italian food, though I'm sorry to say I haven't been there in a while. The Cafe at Palena is one of my favorite, affordable go-to places that never disappoints. Buck's Fishing and Camping has the best seasonal menu and the most delicious steak I've ever had. Ok, that was 3. I cheated.
*When you have an out of town guest, what is the one thing that you encourage them to experience in DC?
Anything Smithsonian! But this also a great town to walk around in and admire the architecture. Almost all of the museums are as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. The monuments are stunning. And the row houses are gorgeous in just about every corner of the city.
*What type of clothing do you wear in early December?
Well it's been kind of unseasonably warm lately, but layers are key so you can adjust to the weird temperature fluctuations. Also, be prepared for any sort of nasty precipitation. DC's Mid-Atlantic location seems to make us prone to lots of "freezing rain," which isn't quite dry enough to wear a winter coat for, but cold enough that a rain coat doesn't really cut it. I've lived here for a while now and I still don't have a great solution for this.
Thank you E!!! Please visit her at District of Chic!
