I had a few things to take care of that forced me to dress a bit conservatively this morning. This vintage dress proved to be a perfect choice despite the ridiculously hot weather we are having right now. I always look for an excuse to wear this cutie that I snagged on Etsy from Dear Golden Vintage.. and it's dead stock to boot!

{EDIT}
I went home to change into something more appropriate since the earth is on fire and literally got stuck in this dress. It had to have taken me a good, sweaty 5 minutes to find a way out of this thing. "Don't wear this again when no one is around to help me out of it" - lesson learned. These old zippers can be tricky!

"I'll be back so soon you won't have time to miss me. Look after my heart - I've left it with you."

So I'm about to embarrass myself a little...

Eclipse Spoiler Alert!
kinda

I'm figuring if you've made it this far into this post, you've already read the Twilight series. Buttttt, just in case, I won't exactly reveal anything...

Last night, I went with a group of girlfriends to see a midnight showing of Eclipse. Hilarity ensued. While I enjoyed reading the series, I have to be honest in that I do not go to see the films for a mind blowing cinematic experience. With that in mind, here is my condensed review.

We watched Twilight and New Moon again before we went to the theater. With these fresh in my brain, I have to say that the whole Cullen family looked their best in Eclipse... the bad vampire makeup is consistently improving (not sure I'll ever be sold on Rosalie though)! The werewolves are still pretty awesome looking, I didn't care for the new Victoria, the soundtrack was great, and the movie had it's laughs (both intentional and otherwise). The major fight scene was disappointing... give me more action, more gore! Bella/Edward moments were amazing as usual... Bella/Jacob moments were good I guess (if you're into that sort of thing).

AND

The scene with the conclusion to the line below, was sososo good (if you've read it, you know what I'm talking about).

"I promise to love you forever - every single day of forever..."

But, the fangirl in me has to admit that my favorite part about the entire experience was seeing this trailer on the big screen.

November 19th can't come soon enough!

If you made it through this post, you must be equally as dorky as I am so high five!

my knee my kneeee

Sorry for the tasteless Nancy Kerrigan reference.

I had every intention on doing an outfit post this morning, I really did.

But I woke up with pretty disturbing pain in both, but particularly my right knee.

Last night, I ran 7.07 miles... yay!

But this... nay!

This weekend I'm going to keep icing, take a few tylenol, and get some new running shoes.

May you all have super weekends.

xo

forever in dept to your priceless advice

Well I've gotta start by saying, "thank you." I received so many nice comments and emails regarding the post below. You guys are awesome and I like you.

The majority of my time and efforts lately have been spent painting and otherwise sprucing up my new space. Before and after's will be coming soon!

Although work, exercise (have you ever done an army crawl? I'm still hurting 2 days later!), and paint stuff have kept me super busy, I did have time to sneak in a film...

on your mark... get set... Hana-GO!

On September 5, 2010 I am going to be running 13.1 miles in the Disneyland Half Marathon.

To you, that may sound a little cool (or maybe a little dumb, who knows), but to me it means a lot, a whole lot. You see, last year I wrote this...I was in a very different place. I can honestly say that I am exercising 5 days a week now. I do enjoy working out. I look forward to my runs (even the early ones and if you know me, you know that I couldn't be less of a morning person). And the craziest change of all...I pay attention to what I eat {gasp}!

So now, I train. I'm lucky because I have oodles of support from some seriously amazing people. If you have experience with this kind of thing, I would love to hear any advice!

I'm now writing for In It To Gym It (this will, in fact, be my first post) and will be updating my progress on the road to the big day! Check it out, the posts are helpful, moving, and quite often hilarious (it was the brainchild of LiLu after all).

And now, on a more personal note, I would like to address the elephant in the room. Yes, I have been lacking in posts as of late, but with great reason...

Two months ago, I started making some serious life modifications. I'm still making these alterations, even as recently as two days ago...it's been a rollercoaster to get to where I am now - happy. It seems like now I'm on a roll because everyday I'm changing something. I know that I have been absent in the blog world lately. I'm sure you can all understand that life sometimes trumps the blog, but know that I have missed you all dearly. Unlike other vague big-life-changes-but-I'm-okay, this one should be seen as nothing but positive, because I haven't been this happy in a long time. With that said, I'm excited for my new beginning. I am doing awesome annnnd I'm back!!! :)
